I live in Austin and I like it here. Breakfast tacos, too much time on Lady Bird Lake, and a car with nobody in the driver’s seat taking me downtown. It’s a good city to build things in.

I learn by taking things apart. Radios, codebases, research systems. I want to know why something works before I trust that it does.

I build for the person on the other side. A researcher testing a study message, someone hunting for a gift, a reviewer checking an agent’s run. The stack matters less than whether they got what they needed.

Working on

Polaris is my personal mission control. Tasks, inbox, calendar, habits, and whatever my agents did overnight, all on one screen. I got tired of opening six tabs to answer one question: what actually needs me today? So I’m building the thing I wanted. Take a look →

Do I use AI for everything? Mostly for checking it.

Previously at UTSA Mobile Lab — research software for a study that talked to real participants. I built EzMsg so researchers could test a conversation before it went live, and helped teach the software engineering lab.

Now at Gimmie and Handshake — agents that recommend from real catalogs, and tests that catch coding agents when a convincing answer is still wrong.
